Symbiosis, a leader
in providing world-class education is now a brand in Indian education. There
are 12 constituent Institutes/Departments, across the cities of Pune, Noida,
Hyderabad & Nagpur under the banner of Symbiosis, offering 17 undergraduate
programmes. However, if you wish to study an undergraduate course, you will
have to appear for an entrance test. SET symbiosis
is a national level entrance examination conducted
for studying in one of the 12 colleges of SIU (Symbiosis International
University).
What is SET actually?
Basically, this is a
test for studying any of the undergraduate courses in Law, Engineering,
Management, Mass Communication, Computer Studies, Liberal Arts, Economics, and
Bachelor of Business Administration.
Those who wish to
study say Architecture, Design, Culinary arts, Medical Technology,
Radiotherapy, Nursing or Photography, such admissions happen through specific admission
processes of the respective institute or department and for the details you
will have to visit the particular website.
But Why Symbiosis?
First. It has a rich
and long journey spanning over four decades. Way back in 1971 Symbiosis started
its journey and now this private group of academic institutions is a big brand
in India.
And now under its
banner, it has universities, colleges, centres and schools. All these host over
40,000 Indian and international on-campus students. Something the institution

Basic Criteria for applying for SET
Interested in
graduating out from Symbiosis?
You have to appear
for SET as we said before. But you will need to have a 50% score in aggregate
in class 12 or equivalent. If you belong to reserved categories you will get a
5% relaxation. This means you will need to have an aggregate of 45% in class 12
or equivalent.
Are you not from
India but want to study at Symbiosis?
Most welcome. Here
are the rules: for students from outside India they need to have completed 12th
standard or equivalent exam from their country of origin (whichever board
functions there). Additionally, they will have to get an equivalent certificate
from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

Symbiosis is also
very well known for its management courses at the undergraduate level. Both as
a standalone programme (BBA) or in combination like BBA, LLB Symbiosis BBA entrance exam will be conducted via SET-B for getting admission in Symbiosis

Studies-Noida or Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies-Nagpur
