SET 2021 will be held in online mode, and the duration is 2 hours 30 minute. The exam will be held on 27th June, and the results will be declared on 8th July 2021.

Exam Format

The exam is divided into 4 different sections. It is not a very difficult paper and it can be cracked with just a few months of preparation.

The four sections are General English, Quantitative Ability, General Awareness and Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning respectively. The first three sections carry 40 marks each, and the final section carries 30 marks. The paper is for 150 marks in total.

How to prepare

A few months preparation is enough for you to do well in this exam. The Quantitative Ability section should be focused on at first. It will consist of questions from topics in mathematics. It is not very difficult, and questions will be based on topics covered in 10th and 12th standard.

The General English section should be stressed on if you feel like you do not have a good command of the English language. Practise grammar and vocabulary. Try reading as much as possible and completing exercises given in grammar workbooks.

The General Awareness section is all about General Knowledge. Keep yourself updated with current affairs by reading the newspapers and reading news online. Learn some important dates in History. Learn about important awards, sporting events, etc.

The Logical Reasoning section will test your critical thinking abilities. Practise exercises related to blood relations, directions, arrangement, Venn diagrams, etc.

Lastly, make sure you complete mock tests and old question papers. There are many papers available online. You can time yourself to make sure you will be able to complete the actual paper on time.

Conclusion

Preparing for the SET exam properly is critical if you want admission in any of the Symbiosis universities. Admission is competitive, and there are a limited amount of seats in each program. Undergraduate degree courses in Pune are offered by many Symbiosis universities like SCMS, SCMC, SICSR, SSLA, and SSE.

Importance of SITEEE preparation

Any form of test or exam may seem intimidating. But if prepared correctly, could be cleared with good marks. First off, it is important to know what to expect from an entrance exam. The engineering entrance exam for Symbiosis is SIT EEE. It is scheduled to be conducted on the 27th of June 2021. The last day of registration is on the 4th of June 2021.

While it is an online MCQ exam for 140 marks, there is preparation required to clear the test well. Even though a multiple-choice question exam seems easy on paper, without learning the subjects that will be questioned you might feel like a fish out of water. The three subjects that you will have to prepare for are Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

For Physics and Chemistry there will be 17 questions each and for Mathematics, 36 questions. If you are weak in any of the three subjects, I would suggest you start studying now. And if you are confident, you should do the same. Any amount of doubt and overconfidence will be reflected in your answers and eventually in your results.

To start preparing, not only should you start learning the subjects at hand, you might also want to start timing yourself. While you may be given enough time to answer, it may not seem enough under pressure. Divide time properly among your strong and weak subjects to provide you with enough wiggle room. Maybe give yourself a few minutes to look things over.

You should also look over the subjects and the syllabus. There are multiple mock tests available to test your knowledge and timing. Make sure that you pick chapters according to importance and weightage in the exam. You don’t want to waste the bulk of your preparation time on the lighter questions.

If there are multiple books available on the subject, glance over them. Having a different perspective on the same topic will prove beneficial for you during the exam. I will help you understand the topic more clearly rather than just remembering the important aspects.

You can find all the details related to the SET exam Symbiosis and the other exams by Symbiosis on their official website. These exams offer a gateway to their institutes. Prepare well so that you don’t miss this chance to make your career with Symbiosis International University.
