As per BRIC ( an abbreviation of the group of developing nations of Brazil, Russia, India, and China), forty-three Indian Universities rank among its list of top two hundred universities. Seven of its IITs appear in the top 60 list while the University of Calcutta and University of Delhi appear among the top seventy in the list.
