Tips for online entrance exams

In today's times, most UG entrance exams in India have shifted to an online platform. Due to the advancements in technology, the colleges have used this to their benefit and started taking exams online. Instant marks and results, multiple exam slots and a variety of questions, including complex graphs and graphics are some of the benefits due to which colleges prefer online entrances rather than the conventional paper-pencil exams. Most students have been giving exams on paper all their life and hence might find it a little confusing at first to give these online exams. Here are a few tips to help you get through online entrances:

1. Practice online: Whenever you study, ensure that you also prepare online for a while. This will make you accustomed to reading online and will not cause difficulty on the day of the actual exam. Also, practising questions online will give you a feel of the exam while ensuring that your body gets used to sitting in front of the computer for several hours at a stretch. The questions asked in online exams are also different from those asked in written exams. So make sure to practice all types of questions beforehand so that you aren't caught by surprise in the exam.

2. Read all Instructions:  Before you begin writing your online exam, you will get a set of instructions on your computer screen. Read those instructions thoroughly and if you have any doubt clarify them with the invigilator before the exam begins. Going through the guidelines will help you get through the exam without any difficulties. Online exams can have vastly different instructions and answering methods, so ensure you read them before itself to avoid any time waste later.

3.Time Management: In online exams, the time given is usually very limited due to the paper pattern, which is generally MCQ. Make sure to prioritize and not waste any time in the exam. Decide the order in which you want to attempt the multiple sections before and then start solving. This will help you structure your exam as well as ensure you do not waste any time. This Undergraduate Entrance Exam is essential for your career and hence do not make any hasty mistakes.

Since admissions to most Undergraduate Courses in India are now done through online exams, you need to be accustomed to them and be comfortable while writing the exam so that you can perform well. Since these exams can make or break your careers, it is imperative to make sure that you give it your best shot. All the best for your exams!

However, due to the importance that entrance exams have, it is essential to register for them in time to secure a seat in your dream college. Step 1: The foremost step is to create a list of all colleges you want to apply to. Make a precise list and ensure that you have enough backup options in case you do not get your first preference. However, make sure you aren't registering for too many either as quality is always better than quantity.

Step 3: Go through the guidelines and requirements to appear for each test. Certain entrance exams require you to have a particular subject, so make sure that you fulfil all the eligibility criteria before you register.

Step 4: This step is one of the most important of all. Of the various exams, you will be registering for, note down the important dates for each exam. Tips to prepare for your Design exams

Students who are planning to give a design entrance exam and pursue a career in design know just how tricky it can be to crack these entrances. Most design colleges offer a variety of bachelor programs like fashion design, product design, graphic design, interior design, and textile design among several others. The admission to these programs is made through such entrance tests that assess several skills and aptitudes. Along with one's designing and drawing skills, mathematical and language ability are also tested in such entrances. Hence, it can be a bit difficult to prepare well for these exams. Here are a few tips to guide you in your preparation process:

1. Practice Regularly: Even if you are good at drawing and sketching, you should regularly practise by setting a time limit for yourself. Most entrance exams require students to do rapid sketching of various objects. So you must be acquainted with completing designs within a specific time limit. This will make sure you do not panic on the day of your actual exam and ensure you perform to the best of your ability.

2. Give equal importance to all subjects: Students often focus only on the design and sketching part of an exam and ignore the Mathematical and language sections. This leads to a low overall score. Hence if you focus on all subjects, you will fare well in the SEED 2020 and other exams even if you do poorly in one of the sections. Even in your preparation as well as on the day of your exam, allot a specific time to each subject so that you complete your paper well in time.

3. Look for sources of Inspiration: Designing is a creative process that requires a vivid imagination. At the same time, the skill of being able to recreate your imagination into reality is equally important. During your preparation time, look at the works of other artists or designers for inspiration. You can get inspiration from all facets of everyday life. This will encourage you to think outside the box and explore new avenues in this field. Since it is a creative field, there are no limits to what one can create, and you must challenge yourself each day to do more and better.

4. Never be Discouraged: Always remember that it's okay to make mistakes. So in case you commit a blunder on the day of your exam, don't be disheartened: that will only lead to you performing poorly on the remaining parts as well. Stay calm and give your best shot.

If you are preparing for the Symbiosis entrance exam for design or other entrances, you should keep these few pointers in mind. These exams decide your future and are a major influencing factor for shaping your career. So make sure you take enough effort and do not have any regrets later on.

Students feel the stress of faring well in these exams due to the importance they hold. Doing well in an exam and getting into your dream college can accelerate your career growth. However, at times students face certain difficulties because of which they do not perform well in these exams. We are going to give you a few tips to overcome most of these challenges and score well in exams.

1. Be well prepared: It is perhaps the most obvious and important thing to keep in mind while appearing for any exam. You must be well-versed with the syllabus before giving the exam. Being well prepared not only makes sure you know all the answers but also boosts your morale before the exam. This makes you feel confident and not scared of the task that lies ahead. Being in this positive state of mind can make your scores even better.

2. Stay calm and focused: While you are writing the exam, several thoughts may pop into your head. In case you do not know the answer, you may panic and lose focus. So it is important to keep calm during the exam. Even if you do not know the answer to a certain question, skip that question and attempt the remaining ones with a razor-sharp focus. This way you won't lose out on scoring well in the other questions at least.

3. Avoid distractions: It goes without saying that there will be several distractions when you study for these exams. Make sure to allot a specific time to study every day and avoid all distractions then. Have your goals in mind so that you stay focused and do not divert your attention.

4. Stay fit and healthy: Health is the greatest wealth, and hence it is very important to take care of your health, especially during such exams. You should make sure to avoid any street food and should try eating healthily. Exercise is just as important as study, so get at least an hour of physical exercise every day. This will also be a good break from your study routine and will freshen up your mind.

On the day of the exam, make sure to remain calm, have faith in yourself and your hard work. Find out your SET exam centres 2020 or others and reach there well in time so that you do not face any last-minute panic. Lastly, it is important to keep in mind that a bad exam is not the end of the world. So even if you don't do well, do not be disheartened. All the best!

Cracking entrance exams seems tough? Here are some useful tips to help you get through!

A lot on the plate already? 12th boards, and loads of entrance exams up on your sleeves?
It is indeed very tough trying to crack these entrance exams when your brain is already filled with the pressure of having to give your boards. But, it is not impossible though it may seem so at a glance. Let's make it a bit easier for you, shall we?

With a dollop of hard work, dedication and keeping in mind some small tricks and tips will help you crack any entrance examination at a go! Remember, cracking an entrance exam is not about hard work but about doing your best in the examination hall. Let's break it down one at a time.

1. Know your strengths and weakness - Everyone has their specific strengths and weaknesses and understanding that is the first step to cracking these giants like examinations. Playing to your strengths and sailing through the shortcomings is the best exam strategy you can bet on.

2. Create a study plan you can stick to - Planning and not working for it won't work. If you want to clear that SET exam Symbiosis or any other entrance exam this time, then create a study plan that is easier for you to stick to and also gives you enough time for your board's preparation. Give more time to topics that you find difficult and keep a buffer so that you can complete some pending tasks.

3. Use fewer theory books - Don't keep too many books for only one subject, that will only fuel the confusion in your head and not resolve as it is supposed to. Also, during the end preparation time, you will be immensely pressured to find a particular topic's answer from 6 different books conveying the same thing in different languages.

4. Reading the question paper multiple times - This is an old technique but is always useful. Examiners tend to play with the minds of the student, especially in their undergraduate entrance examinations by playing around with the questions and options. Watch out for the questions which are designed to have more than one correct answer, and you are supposed to choose the option with multiple correct answers.

5. Exam strategy - If you can plan your exam strategy carefully and stick to it is half the battle won. Most of the students focus on the difficult questions, and that takes consumes their time and their minds. Thus, they end up answering only 50% of what they are confident of. Instead, start with the easier questions and then move on to the difficult ones. That way, you can save time for some mind bogglers.

6. Previous year papers - Looking at the questions and options of the previous year questions of all the undergraduate entrance examinations you will be taking will give confidence in you to decide which of the questions have the probability of recurring this year too. This way, you'll get an understanding of solving the paper, and you can time yourself to see if you're able to complete it on time.

Keep these tips in mind, work hard, be patient, and voila! There's no one stopping you this time. All the best!
