Symbiosis Entrance Test popularly known as SET is the only key to Symbiosis. There is no shortcut to get admission to Symbiosis University. SET differs from the courses you choose. It is not the same for every course nor the pattern of the exam.

SET is divided into three:

●      SLAT - The SET exam for taking admissions in the constituent Law institute of Symbiosis. You may choose any course in Law, but you must mandatorily give the SET and pass it to get an admission.

●      SITEEE - The SET exam for taking admission to the engineering institute of Symbiosis.

●      General SET - This SET exam is for other courses.

 

The registration process of SET

 

To avail of any information on SET, one can visit the official website of SET. The candidates must register themselves for SET along with the institute offering the program of their choice by paying separate fees. And if they are selected, then they have to undergo further admission processes.

 

Now, the aspirants can complete the online SET/SITEEE/SLAT 2021 along with the program registrations on the same portal of SET.

 

 

The test structure of SET

 

Every SET exam has a different exam pattern and scoring. For the SLAT exam, there are logical reasoning, analytical reasoning, GK, legal reasoning, reading comprehension, and written ability test (WAT). The SITEEE exam pattern consists of physics, mathematics, and chemistry. And last but not least, the general SET exam consists of analytical reasoning, logical reasoning, quantitative, written ability test, general English, and awareness.

●      Each test is of 90 minutes duration (with 60 minutes of MCQs, followed by the 30 minutes for WAT for SET and SLAT)

●      No negative markings

●      All sections are mandatory

●      The WAT for SET/SLAT will be evaluated by the institute or program for which you had paid and been shortlisted.

●      The scores for WAT will not be declared along with SET/SLAT scores.

Importance of SITEEE preparation

 

Any form of test or exam may seem intimidating. But if prepared correctly, could be cleared with good marks. First off, it is important to know what to expect from an entrance exam. The engineering entrance exam for Symbiosis is SIT EEE. It is scheduled to be conducted on the 27th of June 2021. The last day of registration is on the 4th of June 2021.

 

While it is an online MCQ exam for 140 marks, there is preparation required to clear the test well. Even though a multiple-choice question exam seems easy on paper, without learning the subjects that will be questioned you might feel like a fish out of water. The three subjects that you will have to prepare for are Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

 

For Physics and Chemistry there will be 17 questions each and for Mathematics, 36 questions. If you are weak in any of the three subjects, I would suggest you start studying now.
