The SET
exam is just around
the corner and most students are busy preparing for the exam. At this
point, we’re happy to be able to bring to you a quick overview of
the exam.
To be held on the 5th
of May, 2018, the SET
entrance exam is
mandatory for most undergraduate
courses offered
at the Symbiosis International (Deemed) University.
Until the previous year, SET
had four papers, depending on the program the candidates wish to
pursue. The papers were SET-Design, SET-Law, SET (General) and
SET-Engineering, and now the names have been changed to SEED, SLAT,
SET-General and SIT EEE respectively.
The exams will be held in two
separate sessions, one in the morning and one afternoon. The morning
session will be for SEED and SLAT and afternoon session for SET
(General) and SIT EEE.
Candidates may choose to
appear for more than one paper. However, for this the candidates will
have to choose and register for one paper from the morning session
(SLAT/SEED) and/or one paper from the afternoon session (SET/SITEEE).
We recommend that this
decision is made at the time of their registration. Choosing to
appear for another paper once the application is made, will not be
possible and a separate application may have to be made in this case.
The online registration is the
first step of the process. Students must then apply for the
respective institute separately.
The registrations for SET are
open from January 29, 2018 to April 14, 2018 and institutes have
their respective deadlines.
