Symbiosis Entrance Test: Your Path to Symbiosis

To seek admission, some institutes of Symbiosis require the students to appear for an entrance test called Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET). This entrance test is conducted every year for the aspiring students. Following are some basic information that will tell you more about SET.

What is SET?

SET abbreviated for Symbiosis Entrance Test is an entrance test for students who want to seek an admission in the undergraduate courses in Symbiosis. The colleges that are covered under this test are:

  •  Symbiosis Law School [SLS] - Hyderabad

Eligibility Criteria:

The eligibility criteria to appear for this undergraduate entrance exam is that a student need to secure 50% marks if he/she is from a general category and 45% in case of reserved category in their 10+2 exams. The students need to fill the SET form online. Also, the students appearing for the test should not be more than 20 years of age, however in case of reserved category the age limit is 22 years.

Test Structure:

  • SET is a pen-paper based test. It is an objective test and the students would get four options for each question.
  • The time limit for this test is 150 minutes.
  • There are two sessions of the test (morning and evening).
  • If a student wants to give the SET test for more than one subject, he/she has to opt for one course from the morning session and one from the evening session.
  • Also, there is no negative marking for the wrong answers.

The one thing that has to be kept in mind is, this test is only to qualify the student for their respective courses. Every college has their own selection criteria thereafter.

The SET exam 2017 is scheduled on May 6, 2017. The registration closes on April 13, 2017. The results are to be declared on May 19, 2017 and will be available for the students for a period of one month on the website, i.e. till June 20, 2017.
